Distance = (240 x 5) = 1200 km.
Speed = Distance/Time
Speed = 1200/(5/3) km/hr.     [We can write 1 hours as 5/3 hours]
Required speed =(1200 x3/5) km/hr = 720 km/hr.

2) Ans. B
Due to stoppages, it covers 9 km less.
Time taken to cover 9 km =(9/54x 60) min = 10 min.

3) Ans. D
Average of 20 numbers = 0.
Sum of 20 numbers (0 x 20) = 0.
It is quite possible that 19 of these numbers may be positive and if their sum is a then 20th number is (-a).

4) Ans. A
Required run rate =(282 - (3.2 x 10))/40=       250/4    = 6.25

Let number of notes of each denomination be x.
Then x + 5x + 10x = 480
16x = 480
 x = 30.
Hence, total number of notes = 3x = 90.

  1. I am visiting this blog through mobile in this print friendly option not showing in my mobile please upload the link like previous ones thank you admin.
